Sales Support Director establishes the sales support process, develops an infrastructure of systems and tools, and directs support operations. Ensures that sales teams receive the tools and resources needed for smooth operations. Being a Sales Support Director monitors all sales activities to identify problems, create solutions, and produce accurate reporting. Develops and implements promotional events to increase sales volume. Additionally, Sales Support Director may provide oversight of sales incentive or commission programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Sales Support Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Sales Support Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Required Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Adult Education, Instructional Design, Education Psychology or Education Specialist, or related field.
    Required Experience:
    • Minimum three (3) years' experience in higher education/program development in an academic success/support services setting.
    Specific Experience, training and education may be substituted for the required education or experience.
    • 5 years of full-time teaching experience in an eLearning (online/hybrid/hyflex/etc) modality may be substituted for the three years' experience. 
    Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    • Classroom teaching experience in a post-secondary institution (proficient)
    • Administrative experience in a higher education setting (Proficient)
    • Strong organizational and communication skills (Advanced)
    • Strong commitment to and understanding of issues affecting academic achievement  and retention of students from diverse backgrounds (Advanced)
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and administration (Advanced)
    • Knowledge of a variety of academic support services/programs (peer tutoring, SI, academic coaching) (Proficient)
    • Knowledge of research, trends, and best practices relevant to student success (Proficient) 
    • Knowledge of online, asynchronous, and face-to-face tutoring modalities (Proficient) 
    • Knowledge of computers and software relevant to the position (i.e., Microsoft Office, Canvas, Zoom, web-based tools) (Proficient).
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Adult Education, Instructional Design Education Psychology or Education Specialist, or related field
    Preferred Experience:
    • Experience developing programs. 
    • Experience training peer leaders/peer educators.
    • College level tutoring experience
    • Experience teaching or training in an eLearning modality (online/hybrid/hyflex/etc)
    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    • Effective management of academic student success/support services in a virtual environment
    • Knowledge of online tutoring services (Smarthinking, etc.)
    • Familiarity with Canvas LMS
    Under the direction of the Director of Digital Learning and Academic Support, the Academic Support Program Director is responsible for recommending, developing, implementing, and coordinating services and activities that improve student success and retention in all classes (face-to-face/online/hybrid/hyflex/etc.). Builds community, assures quality programming, and engages in outreach and orientation activities. Utilizes academic tutors and other staff in the design and implementation of academic success programming. Plans and facilitates workshops, for students. Uses learning analytics to make recommendations for academic success interventions and strategies for digital students. Works in collaboration with Digital Learning and Academic Support staff and College faculty and staff.

    40% Administration of Student Tutors and Academic Support programming:
    • Supervises staff [professional, part-time]
    • Sets tutor schedule
    • Evaluates tutors
    • Coordinates study group, supplemental instruction, embedded tutor, etc. activities
    • Coordinates budget
    25% Student Academic Support:  Recommends, develops, grows, and leads initiatives to implement academic success services supporting students, including underserved populations. Continually identify opportunities to innovate and drive change in the academic support landscape at BRCC through launching pilots and exploratory projects Using data analytics, develops academic success programming including but not limited to:
    • learning, supplemental instruction, imbedded coaches, 
    • student collaborative interventions (i.e. study groups and other success strategies0 
    • students who are first-generation and first-time enrollees in eLearning
    • students planning to transfer.
    • Academic Support video and infographic production and distribution
    25% Learning Retention and Completion Analytics are to be used to design academic success teaching strategies. Evaluate results of strategies and interventions focused on deepening student learning and improving College retention and completion rates.   Performing the following tasks including but not limited to: 
    • Assists the director in creating and disseminating academic support messaging to students based on evaluation of learning   analytics
    • Assists the director in creating and disseminating survey to students each semester to gather data related to student needs
    • Collaboration with College advising and counseling services to facilitate student retention and completion.
    • Collaboration with student services staff on wrap-around services provided in an all environments.
    5% Teaching Analytics:
    • Assists in the development of policies, practices, and standards which facilitate effective use of teaching and learning pedagogical modalities.
