Our Life Insurance Company is seeking a highly motivated and energetic person to fill a Sales Support position at the Meridian, Idaho campus. The Sales Support position is primarily responsible for supporting all areas within the Marketing Department including Marketing personnel, agents, funeral home partners, and clients.  This person will need to be comfortable working with agents on the phone providing excellent and expedient service. Must be conscientious, detail-oriented and have the ability to handle multiple priorities. Having a good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and being proficient at Excel will also lead to success in this position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Communicate with and assist agents, funeral home partners and clients.
• Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research issues, and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
• Processing incoming mail, faxes, and emails.
• Maintain external customer information such as: address, phone numbers, email, bank account information.
• Distribute daily mail and emails to appropriate Marketing team member.
• Schedule monthly sales meetings and provide the meeting minutes.
• Assist with preparation of agent incentive conventions, meetings, and trips.
• Assist agents with premium quotes, illustrations, and product information.
• Assist with agent recruiting and appointments.
• Maintain Marketing equipment and supply logs. Assist in updating and organizing marketing collateral.
• Retrieving and Distributing sales reports to intended recipients.
• Scan documents for archives.
• Distribute to funeral homes monthly and quarterly reports.
• Assist Marketing team members with correspondence to external customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). May require some job-related course work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite– Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and intermediate competency in Excel. 
• Accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of insurance products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Conscientious, detail-oriented and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Displays a good-natured, cooperative attitude and is pleasant with others on the job.

Working Conditions

This position is an in-office role. May sit for long periods of time. Visual acuity to perform reading and computer functions.
