About the Position...
The SBA Portfolio Manager III (SBA PM III) is responsible for managing an existing book of SBA loans/relationships with emphasized focus efforts to maximize relationships and developing new loan requests within the arena of SBA 7a and 504 products. The SBA PM III will be responsible for creating credit spreads by spreading the financial statements of borrowers and performing the appropriate cash flow analysis. They will also be responsible for performing a variety of tasks such as preparation of CMs, quarterly calls to all existing assigned clients, annual site inspections, staying on top of approaching maturities to ensure that renewals are submitted timely to avoid unnecessary extensions, ensuring that loan files and requests are complete and in accordance with Bank policy. Additionally, requesting and collecting annual financial statements and other documentation, and for actively managing technical exceptions. The SBA PM III will act as a resource to the various Client Relationship Managers and will also be the primary account officer for all SBA loans that do not have a designated Client Relationship Manager assigned to them. They are also responsible for providing service to those client relationships by identifying their financial needs and filling those needs with the wide range of products and services offered by United Business Bank, especially our SBA products, loans, deposit products, and other products and services. They are responsible for analyzing loan requests and determining whether a loan is within an acceptable risk within the framework of the Bank’s policy and for preparing the required documents and submitting it for approval. They are also responsible for assisting the SBA Portfolio Manager Team Lead with additional assignments and/or projects as needed. The SBA PM III will perform all duties accurately, timely, efficiently, and according to policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines, as well as the SBA SOP.

Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, preferred.
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of SBA loans and SBA SOP preferred. Knowledge of banking and lending operations and procedures, as well as the various regulations and standard banking practices.
