Assumes a servant leadership role to support a self-organized team to complete Scrum projects. Being a Scrum Master identifies and removes impediments to progress. Facilitates sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, demos, and retrospectives. Additionally, Scrum Master identifies and manages the backlog. Supports, coaches and mentors team members. Tracks daily sprint progress and maintain schedules. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Typically reports to a director. The Scrum Master occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. DescriptionSAIC is seeking an experienced Scrum Master located onsite in Colorado Springs, CO to join our Agile team supporting our customer on the United States Space Force Digital Test & Training Synthetic Environment to manage agile, systems engineering, and software development teams to coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Facilitate daily scrum ceremonies
- Coach the scrum teams in Agile best processes
- Develop Project deliverables as required
- Maintain JIRA Agile Management Tool
- Incorporate risk management throughout project
- Support product owner in backlog management
- Instill quality deliveries in team and manage product quality
- Clear any Team blockers and/or obstacles
- Communicate regularly with customers, stakeholders, Agile teams, and management
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and five (5) years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Experience as a Scrum Master
- Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices
- Agile tool experience (JIRA or equivalent)
- Strength in Project Management processes
- Risk management experience
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain; must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance once hired
- Must be a current US Citizen
Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
