OVERVIEW:

We are looking for motivated, friendly and efficient people to join our team! There are many activities performed within the Central Station however, the major focus is alarm recognition response, guard and patrol operations. Communication is a key ingredient to success. The right candidate will receive hands-on training to understand our standards and policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be available to work on weekends, holidays and overtime when needed. Our department is staffed 24 / 7 / 365 and it is imperative that we meet minimum staffing requirements. There is a weekly mandatory meeting to be attended by all, whether it be in person or video call.
• Be available to train M-F days before transferring to open shift.
• Be familiar with Microsoft Windows and Office, and posess typing speed 40 wpm.
• Be comfortable handling potential emergency situations, data entry and working under pressure.

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must pass a background check and have a clean record - background checks are reviewed throughout employment.
• Must not be the subject of a Domestic Violence Injunction/Order or have been convicted of a Domestic Violence Assault.
• Skill in interpersonal and communication techniques, working in a team environment, and dealing with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles.
• Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or verbal instructions from supervisors.
• Upon hiring must qualify for a State of Alaska guard license. Licensing includes a national background check and finger printing.
• Guardian sends employees for drug testing once hired, at random, and post incident.

We are looking for an individual that will enjoy working with a well-established team. As, we are a security company you will undergo a background check and must not have a DUI for the past 10 years and or any felony offense on your record. Guardian Security also participates in pre-employment and random drug screening.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required
