Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Service Writer to join our team. The Service Writer will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service and efficient operations within our automotive service department.

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and assist with scheduling service appointments
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Provide estimates for services and communicate with customers regarding recommended repairs
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of work
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used
- Process payments, handle cash transactions, and maintain financial records
- Utilize sales techniques to upsell additional services or products

Qualifications:

- Experience in automotive service writing or related field preferred
- Knowledge of automotive services including shocks, struts, suspension, alignment, and tire services
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in auto service management is a plus
