Shipping and Receiving Clerk jobs in California
Shipping and Receiving Clerk assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Receives, unpacks, inspects and stores incoming materials and supplies. Being a Shipping and Receiving Clerk uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Clerk typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to supervisor. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - Manage and set accurate appointments for incoming and outgoing freight
- Complete all shipments in Famous accurately and timely
- Ensure that the appropriate paper work, BOL’s, Phytos, etc. are with the correct load
- Notify sales immediately of any errors including missing paper work, inventory issues, transportation issues, etc.
- Perform physical inventories as required to manage inventory issues
- Receives product and verifies the quality and count of all items, reports any discrepancies
- Follow Safety and PPE guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned by the needs of the business.
- High school diploma/GED
- 1-2 years forklift experience
- Experience with radio frequency inventory devices
- Forklift certification
- Famous experience preferred
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to present oneself with professional appearance and behavior in accordance to Employee Handbook Policies.
