Shipping Operations Manager jobs in Massachusetts

Candidate will be able to efficiently handle incoming and outgoing deliveries. This position requires excellent organizational skills and management capabilities. Overall responsibilities include ensuring accuracy of shipments, meeting deadlines and improving processes.

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Some Weekends

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Hands-on management of day-to-day operations
• Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials and supplies
• Collaborates and communicates with logistics, customer service representatives, service providers, and other involved in the shipment and receipt of products
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Maintains a clean and neat area
• Promptly unloads trucks and delivers and sorts and stocks receivables
• Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory and counting accurately
• Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Operations Management or related qualification in business administration, logistics, transportation or engineering
• 5 years of previous experience in a similar role
• Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory control, distribution, and management principles
• Working knowledge of logistics and ERP software
• Neat and organized
• Ability to multitask under pressure, with strong time management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills / motivator of people; ability to work well in a team while managing
• Competent writing and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
