Being a Shop Service Technician uses service manuals to understand issues and selects the proper tools and protocols for an assignment. Diagnoses issues and performs failure analyses. Additionally, Shop Service Technician typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Shop Service Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
