The Mayor’s Office of Efficiency is dedicated to improving effectiveness, productivity and efficiency in
government operations and reducing the burdens placed on customers (residents, visitors, people

people. The Office seeks to leverage metrics and strategies to create a continuous improvement
mindset and customer centric process improvements across City agencies, to improve the delivery of

The Problems You’ll Solve
The New York City Office of Efficiency is looking for a certified Black Belt, Master Black Belt or Lean
Master, to lead process reengineering/continuous improvement initiatives to improve agency
organization outcomes across NYC. Under the direction of the NYC Chief Efficiency Officer, with wide
latitude for the exercise of independent judgement and actions, the selected candidate will be
responsible for the identification and execution of major operation and strategic initiatives citywide.
Additionally, this person will supervise Green Belts or candidates for Green Belt certification in the
management of their project portfolios.

The City of New York Office of the Mayor’s compensation package includes a market competitive
salary, equity for all full-time roles and exceptional benefits. Our cash compensation for this role is
$160,000.
