As a Social Media Manager for Portland Thorns FC, you will be responsible for crafting and executing compelling social media content strategies across all owned and operated platforms. What You’ll Be Up To- Develop and execute social media content strategies that align with the brand narrative and aspirations of Portland Thorns FC.
- Generate compelling visual and written content for social media platforms.
- Craft a distinct voice for Portland Thorns across all social media channels.
- Build cross-platform content plans that maximize storytelling opportunities with varying production timelines.
- Collaborate with the content creation team to brainstorm and develop creative ideas.
- Pitch and execute your own ideas from inception through to completion.
- Monitor social media channels for trends and opportunities for engagement.
- Analyze and report on the performance of social media content, making recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices.
- Proven experience in social media management, preferably in the sports industry.
- Exceptional storytelling skills with proven ability to create engaging content in visual and written mediums.
- Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work on nights and weekends as the team’s schedule dictates.
- Comfortable delivering, receiving and implementing creative feedback.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in content creation tools and software.
