Software Quality Assurance Analyst jobs in Washington

Software Quality Assurance Analyst executes testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards. Prepares data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows. Being a Software Quality Assurance Analyst isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects. Verifies fixes. Additionally, Software Quality Assurance Analyst documents testing according to required procedures. Familiar with software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. May assist with the creation of new testing scripts and plans. Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to Quality Assurance Manager. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     • Someone who can go through log fails/go through failures.

    Required Skills

    • # Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Java, and SQL is desired, but not required.
    • # Experience with Python would be required.
    • # Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
    • # Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment.
    • # Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle.
    • #Testing satellite components so must have experience working with hardware, and embedded devices.

    Years Of Experience

    • 2-4 years of industry experience testing software, including website applications as well as embedded devices.

    Degree Or Certification

    • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

    QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment.
