GET TO KNOW THE ROLE

The Spa Manager will champion the daily operations of the Spa, Pool, and Fitness Center. including Massage, Beauty Services (Skin Care, Salon, and Retail) Guest Relations (Spa Desk, Locker Rooms/Lounge), and reception. The Spa Manager will champion all aspects of the spa, including staff, facilities, services, and inventory.

• Exemplifies MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
• Drive revenue in all areas, overseeing budget and projects, and making recommendations for operational efficiencies and revenue enhancements, while ensuring the highest quality of service standards from all providers and staff.
• Always ensure the health and safety of guests and employees.
• Ensure consistent Spa experience development to ensure that we are consistently innovative and unique.
• Able to implement and monitor up-selling strategies to maximize spa operational revenue.
• Be the point of contact for VIP guests and coordinate their Spa experience.
• Responsible to identify and target specific market segments for potential corporate clientele to promote Spa services.
• Responsible to develop strong product quality and treatment measures.
• Responsible to monitor and analyze the products and services of competitive Spas, to maintain a competitive advantage.
• Manage spa inventory effectively and follow hotel purchasing standards to ensure audit compliance.
• Gather information and remain fully informed of local and international trends in Spa operations.
• Plan, organize, and monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by the Muckleshoot Casino Resort.
• Evaluate the condition of furniture, fixtures, décor, etc.
• Plan and schedule proper staffing accordingly for all special events such as conventions, groups, and VIP's.
• Responsible to ensure cleanliness and safety within all operations along with establishing strict maintenance programs. And sanitation standards.
• Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for Team Members, and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies.
• Smile and engage Guests and Team Members
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• 5 (five) years of experience as a spa manager in a luxury hotel or a well-established spa brand.
• 3 (three) years of experience in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Experience in advanced massage techniques and demonstrated ability to learn new massage techniques.
• Luxury spa/hotel experience a plus!

HOW YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL

• Knowledge of hospitality industry health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of and connection in the luxury market/spa space.
• Knowledge of Spa, Membership, and recreational software.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite and applicable software.
• Skilled in establishing credibility and rapport with operating leaders.
• Ability to exhibit excellent communication skills; both oral and written. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to demonstrate extraordinary service-focused phone and conversation etiquette.
• Ability to achieve positive results in a high-pressure, high-volume, and fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to work well as a part of a team.

WHAT TO EXPECT 

• Availability – Ability to work different shifts, holidays, weekends, and nights to support a 24/7 operation.
• Physical – Ability to maneuver in all areas of the casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push, or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
• Environment – Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
