We are looking for a full-time Event Planner and Marketing professional with a self-starter attitude and a passion for supporting development needs of CHP. This position reports to the Director of Development and will be a critical contributor to the department’s overall success.
Scope of Responsibility
- Provide leadership and direction of the planning and execution of fundraising events managing event logistics and volunteer engagement
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Chastain Horse Park's mission, programs, and events.
- Manage email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, content creation, and performance tracking.
- Coordinate direct mail campaigns, newsletters, impact reports, and other printed materials to engage donors and stakeholders effectively.
- Oversee social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), including content creation, scheduling, engagement, and community management.
- Maintain and update the organization's website, ensuring content accuracy, relevance, and optimization for search engines.
- Coordinate paid media efforts, including advertising campaigns across various digital platforms.
- Manage public relations efforts, including press releases, media pitches, and interview coordination, in partnership with the PR partner(s).
- Craft compelling narratives and storytelling to communicate Chastain Horse Park’s impact and success stories effectively.
- Manage video content strategy to communicate impact to investors and drive engagement across all digital platforms through video.
- Provide oversight for the development and production of all marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage and optimize campaigns, events, and donation pages to increase conversion rates and drive more revenue.
- Manage the procurement and distribution of promotional items and branded merchandise.
- Implement an enhanced peer-to-peer fundraising strategy to drive engagement and fundraising.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Previous work experience in planning and coordinating fundraising events/galas.
- Marketing proficiency
- Strong organizational skills
- Proven success in engaging with a diverse community of individuals and beneficially leveraging individuals’ skills and abilities
- Experience in administrative duties such as data input, updating paperwork, file maintenance, emailing
- Flexibility in work hours including weekend work
- Microsoft suite proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Highly organized and detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrating diplomacy and tact.
- Team player with proactive, excellent interpersonal skills including a strong work ethic.
- Experience with or aptitude to quickly learn Salesforce, Google suite, Raiser’s Edge and Canva.
- Experience working with donors or others in a supporting role especially in recruitment, retention and recognition.
- Experience working with a small, nonprofit organization and the ability to wear many hats.
- Passion for equine assisted services and our equine partners.
