About the Job

Our team is growing, and Marcon Metal USA (www.marconmetal.com) is hiring Metal Fabricators for all shifts to join our dynamic team based out of Ferndale, WA, fabricating our custom-designed structural steel assemblies.

Duties include:

• Plan and prepare jobs, create layouts.
• Read, analyze and interpret shop drawings.
• Safely rig components for lifting.
• Fabricate, assemble, and inspect components.
• Tack weld fabricated assemblies for welders to finish.
• Other duties as required.

Shift available:

• Day Shift - Monday to Friday (Five 8-Hour shifts with 30-minute unpaid lunch) - 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
• Afternoon Shift - Monday to Thursday (Four 10-Hour shifts with 30-minute unpaid lunch) - 3:15 pm to 1:45 am.
• Weekend Shift - Friday to Sunday (Three 12-Hour shifts with 30-minute unpaid lunch, weekend shift employees are paid a four hour differential to reach 40 hours) - 5:15 am to 5:45 pm.

Skills and Requirements:

• 3 years of experience working in a steel manufacturing environment.
• Experience with fitting/fabricating structural steel, plate work, and custom fabrications.
• Experience with steel fabrication techniques, steel grades, and shapes.
• Experience maximizing the utilization of materials and minimizing waste of materials.
