Staff Nurse - RN - Recovery Room jobs in Missouri
Staff Nurse - RN - Recovery Room provides professional nursing care to assigned post-operative patients. Monitors vital signs, administers medications, including intravenous medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with surgeons and anesthesiologists. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Recovery Room provides support to patients waking up from anesthesia, including bandage maintenance, pain management, nausea treatment, and ensuring patients receive adequate rest, fluids and nutrients. Observes patients' progress, records observations in patient medical records, and updates attending physicians directly when necessary. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Recovery Room teaches patients how to clean bandages, take medication, and follow post-surgical care instructions. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Recovery Room's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Location: Missouri
Position: RN Intermediate Unit/Cardiac
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the total care and treatment of patients with acute pulmonary, medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions.
- Performing Airway Management
Providing Ventilator support for patients unable to breathe on their own. - Inserting and maintaining ventral IV lines and chest tubes.
- Stabilizing and titrating medicated IV infusions.
- Utilizing Cardiac telemetry to monitor patient heart function.
- Documenting detailed records of patient vital signs and treatment responses.
- Recommending treatment options to attending physician
Certifications - Required
- AHA BLS - Basic Life Support Certificate
Education - Required
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
Experience - Required
- 1 - 2 year Acute Care Experience and/or experience congruent with role in service line
Licenses - Required
- Registered Nurse State of Missouri
