    Position Purpose
    Under the leadership of the Director, Talent Acquisition, the Affirmative Action Plan Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for matters related to Dartmouth’s compliance with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs ( OFCCP ) affirmative action planning requirements. Responsibilities include the creation of the annual Affirmative Action Plan, training support, building awareness regarding OFCCP regulations, and ensuring compliance. The specialist plays a crucial role in developing and implementing Affirmative Action Programs, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

    Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
    • 2 to 5 years of experience with Affirmative Action Plan management.


    Preferred Qualifications
    • Demonstrated understanding of relevant federal and state regulations.
    • Proficient in extracting and analyzing data sets from databases, demonstrating strong data management skills.
    • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
    • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.

    Key Accountabilities

    Description
    Subject Matter Expertise:

    • Provide expertise on inquiries about OFCCP regulations and Dartmouth’s relevant policies, addressing specific questions and concerns.
    • Facilitate awareness of affirmative action obligations.
    • Collaborate with HR leadership and relevant offices on campus to ensure institutional compliance with OFCCP regulations.
    • In partnership with the Director, Talent Acquisition, coordinate with relevant offices to develop and expand goals and initiatives found in the Affirmative Action Plan.
    • Draft policies and procedures to address affirmative action requirements.


    Percentage Of Time 35%

    Data Collection And Analysis:
    • Develop, improve, and implement systems and processes that allow the collection of accurate data for Affirmative Action Plan purposes, emphasizing the importance of data accuracy for compliance.
    • Create analyses of employment data and relevant data tables for the Affirmative Action Plan and audits.


    Percentage Of Time 25%

    Project Management:
    • Oversee the creation and submission of the Affirmative Action Plan annually.
    • Collect detailed data and information from stakeholders to complete all Affirmative Action Plan requirements.
    • Facilitate relationships with Affirmative Action Plan compliance vendors.
    • Regularly review and update the Affirmative Action Plan in collaboration with HR leadership, supporting progress monitoring and compliance checks.
    • In partnership with the Director, Talent Acquisition, respond to OFCCP audits and requests.

    Training And Education:
    • Support education efforts for data collection and entry personnel, emphasizing the importance of accurate data.
    • Collaborate with the Provost Office and Institutional Diversity and Equity to develop training and resources for employees involved in hiring processes.


    Percentage Of Time 10%

    Documentation And Reporting:
    • Contribute to maintaining records of all Affirmative Action Plan related activities.
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of required reports, including annual Affirmative Action and Vets 4212 reports.


    Percentage Of Time 10%

    • Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others.
