Job Summary
The Records Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for the school. The record clerk will also organize, categorize, and manage various types of records, ensuring they are easily accessible when needed. The records clerk will also facilitate day-to-day activities with minimal supervision while adhering to all policies and procedures of the Dougherty County School System.
Qualifications- Diploma in Business Office Technology or equivalent;
- Two years of clerical experience in a school office or related setting;
- Experience in working with sensitive information regarding students;
- Experience in Microsoft Office and Google Suites;
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion;
- Ability to collect, sort, prepare and scan documents, and label them for easy identification;
- Ability to ensure all records are properly updated, and maintained in an accurate and confidential manner.
- Greets and interacts effectively with the general public, staff members, students, teachers, parents, and administrators, using tact and good judgment;
- Ensures all records are properly labeled, categorized, and stored according to DCSS policies and regulatory requirements;
- Enrolls new students, enters student information on students transferring from within and outside the school district;
- Verifies data for accuracy and completeness, making corrections as necessary;
- Assists in maintaining an efficient office operation by providing clerical relief as needed;
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal
SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide.
