Ministry Function

The Strategic Planning Manager supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by managing functions related to strategic planning.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Creates and maintains the processes and documentation required for day-to-day management of operational functions.  
2. Manages global strategic planning tools related to container planning, target planning, and new country planning. 
3. Maintains global container tracking and KPI. 
4. Supports international asset repository maintenance.  
5. Collaborates with other Convoy of Hope working groups to support global strategic planning. 
6. Manage Global Program strategic planning timeline in collaboration with other Global Program team members.
7. Develops systems and processes related to assigned job functions.  
8. Maintains data and records related to strategic planning.  
9. Assists with centralization of business and operational related data as it pertains to assigned functions.  
10. Manage sthe planning, implementation, and execution of assigned projects.  
11. Within the scope of project management, engages in problem solving to manage issues and removes barriers to project planning, implementation, and execution. 
12. Fulfills all other duties as assigned. 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. 
2. Two or more years of relevant experience is required; international work experience is strongly preferred. 
3. Position based in Springfield, Missouri. 
4. Significant cultural understanding and awareness is required to handle sensitive issues and maintain vital relationships. 
5. Demonstrates problem-solving skills. Remains calm under pressure and maintains tact in difficult situations. 
6. Demonstrates organizational skills, detail-orientation, and follows through.
7. Exhibits exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and computer skills.
8. Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
9. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
10. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
11. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
