Structural Engineer jobs in Pennsylvania
Structural Engineer designs load-bearing structures or structural elements, such as buildings, bridges, or roadways. Performs analysis of building materials for use in construction. Being a Structural Engineer develops blueprints or specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations. Determines cause of structural failures, damages, and defects through site investigations. Additionally, Structural Engineer provides reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Structural Engineer at WZG Structural Consulting Engineers. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing calculations, conducting structural analysis, and utilizing Revit software.
Qualifications
- Bachelors of Architectural or Civil Engineering (structural emphasis)
- EIT registration
- Proficiency in conducting calculations and performing structural analysis
- Experience with Revit software preferred
- Working knowledge of RISA preferred
- Strong verbal, technical writing, and presentation skills
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis of new and existing structures.
- Work with clients to develop structural engineering documents and coordinate with other disciplines from design development through construction administration.
- Structural production of documents in Revit Structure.
- Field investigations to document existing conditions of buildings.
- Perform site inspections.
- Technical writing including field observation and site investigation reports.
- Review shop drawings and RFIs
- Attend meetings with clients and agencies.
