Subrogation Specialist, Sr. is responsible for subrogation activities including the identification and research of subrogation claims. Assists in the recovery of overpayments. Being a Subrogation Specialist, Sr. coordinates with other departments, insurance representatives and members. Processes subrogation, workers' compensation, and other claims where third-party liability exists. Additionally, Subrogation Specialist, Sr. develops cases resulting from beneficiary or provider-initiated inquiries, internal referrals, personal research, or computer-generated reports. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Subrogation Specialist, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. - Process employee payroll, including accurately calculating employee pay, overtime, bonuses, and other compensation, and ensuring that all taxes and other deductions are properly deducted.
- Facilitate employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, 401k and other fringe benefits.
- Ensure that employee payroll and benefits records are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Employee’s first stop for inquiries regarding payroll, benefits and other HR questions, and work with internal departments, external vendors, and providers to resolve any issues.
- Develop and implement payroll and benefits policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Stay up to date on changes in payroll and benefits laws and regulations and ensure that our organization is in compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis related to payroll and benefits and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provide other administrative support to the HR department as needed.
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-4years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll and benefits software, specifically ADP Workforce Now
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a multi-site distributed workforce
