Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the clinical, managerial, and administrative aspects of substance abuse programs.   • Job Overview:

    The Executive Director is an integral part of the facility team and is expected to participate in the financial and functional decision-making processes necessary for the successful attainment of the facilities’ operational and financial goals. This person will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, overseeing multiple key functions in the business, and driving both top and bottom-line growth. They must be a strong leader who is able to inspire their team to take action without being prescriptive.

    Job Duties:

    · Analyzes, recommends and supports practices seeking to improve performance on quality measures to engage in work redesign, changes in organization systems, policies and procedures, and quality improvement process within the organization

    · Oversees the business development of the facility and lead strategic market and portfolio analysis, identifying growth

    · Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes

    · Liaises with industry partners to ensure that all sources of client intake are available;

    · Directs the operations of the Facility Business Office to ensure that the facility achieves its goals for cash collections, AR days, uncompensated care and denials

    · Routinely reviews revenue cycle metrics to proactively identify and address issues affecting overall performance

    · Identifies opportunities for program improvement and Quality Improvement monitors

    · Is actively involved in ensuring revenue cycle processes are in place including proper determination of patient responsibility, approval of any discounts or charity care, coordination of benefits, employment verification, proper logging of upfront collections and utilization of financial products designed to support additional client financial obligations

    · Participates with managed care contracting and other business development activities to ensure net revenue goals are met;

    · Develops and improves facilities and programmatic structure;

    · Acts as a liaison to the State Regulating Facility and JCAHO/CARF;

    · Assists in writing proposals, plans and prepares budgetary estimates and justifications with a primary focus on the pursuit of financial responsibility and transparency in all aspects of programmatic expectations;

    · Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations;

    · Provides ongoing analysis of variances from budget and assists the CFO in implementing changes needed to achieve budget goals;

    · Prepares and submits a quarterly reporting and quality assurance reviews;

    · Tracks and reports on monthly annual accomplishments via annual assessment;

    · Coordinates and approves expenditures within the facility

    · Ensures compliance to accreditation standards and requirements, federal, state, and local certifying and licensure bodies

    · Conducts employee evaluations and Professional Improvement Plans

    · Undertakes special projects as directed by the COO

    Job Requirements:

    · Bachelor s degree in a business-related field

    · Previous behavioral healthcare experience highly preferred

    · Previous experience with a healthcare system highly preferred

    · Minimum 3-5 years successful Director experience in a similar addiction treatment setting required

    · Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to effectively lead in a changing environment

    · Ability to think strategically and solve problems

    · Proven financial analysis skills and ability to develop and interpret financial statements

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: Up to $125,000.00 per year
