Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the clinical, managerial, and administrative aspects of substance abuse programs. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness and quality of drug/alcohol rehabilitation treatment procedures to achieve standards and objectives. Being a Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) partners with community agencies and programs to ensure continuity in the type and level of patient care. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local standards and requirements. Additionally, Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Substance Use Counselor in Wasilla for the Behavioral Health Treatment Center. Full time position available to provide substance use treatment services in an outpatient program. Minimum Qualifications: High school equivalency and one year full time work experience in chemical dependency treatment, or a degree in a related field (human services, social services, social work, addiction, psychiatric nursing or psychology) and one year of full time work experience in chemical dependency treatment. Must possess the ability to become a Qualified Addictions Professional within three years (achieve a minimum certification as a CDCII, BHAII or NCACI). Must be eligible to enroll as a provider in Alaska Medicaid. Preferred Qualifications: Current certification as a CDCI or higher.
