Job Description
The Director, Labor Strategy devises and executes the labor relations (LR) strategy for operations across all sectors in the assigned US [or Canada] area of responsibility. This position provides support to assigned operational partners in the areas of collective bargaining, contract administration, organizing campaigns, and positive employee relations (ER). The Director, Labor Strategy will negotiate contracts, manage day-to-day contract administration, such as interpretive guidance to management and grievance processing, support the Company's positive employee relations and intervention efforts, investigate employee relations matters, facilitate training, build effective relationships with union representatives, and perform other duties as assigned. This individual is the field-level first point of contact for union representatives regarding all issues related to the collective bargaining agreement and the collective bargaining relationship.
