    Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services

    Supervises

    Directly supervises maintenance, food service, transportation, and purchasing supervisors, federal programs, and categorical funds.

    Terms Of Employment

    The contract length will be 240 days

    Evaluation

    Based on local district policy and Arkansas Department of Education guidelines, and performed by the assistant superintendent.

    Job Goal

    The Director of Support Services will endeavor to oversee facilities and support staff to provide a healthy and safe environment conducive for student learning to enhance the overall effectiveness of the Conway Public School District.

    Performance Responsibilities

    • Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures
    • Administratively assists the assistant superintendent.
    • Assists the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services in the initiatives in building and maintenance of facilities.
    • Provides leadership in supervision of maintenance, transportation, and purchasing staff.
    • Supervises and evaluates support services personnel – maintenance, transportation, purchasing, and food service.
    • Works along with support services supervisors to provide a healthy, safe environment conducive to student learning.
    • Oversees transportation, maintenance, and purchasing departments and programming.
    • Plans, organizes, and supervises programs associated with support service departments.
    • Assists the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services in preparing and keeping zoning maps, contractual records, building permits, facility plans, and crisis plans.
    • Assists in the development of the above plans and contracts.
    • Assists in evaluating the efficiency of current facilities and management of construction projects.
    • Strives to build relationships between the District and community officials; construction managers; and state, county, and city officials.
    • Ensures that the District meets statutory and regulatory requirements for the city and state.
    • Knows and understands city and state requirements for facility construction and maintenance.
    • Assists in maintaining legal contracts and permits pertaining to facilities.
    • Supervises health services and health clinic.
    • Works alongside the human resources department to develop substitute nursing training.
    • Oversees all activities of federal funds (Title I, Title II, Title III, and Title IV) and categorical funds including budgeting and reporting responsibilities.
    • Other duties, as assigned.
