Surgeon - Burn jobs in Maine
Surgeon - Burn examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats patients with burns from heat, cold, chemical, or electrical incidents. Performs escharectomy, skin grafting, and secondary burn surgery. Being a Surgeon - Burn reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Burn may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Western Maine Surgery, a department of Stephens Memorial Hospital, is currently seeking a BC/BE general surgeon to join their busy and dynamic group of three general surgeons in their hospital-employed practice located in Norway, Maine. This is a unique and interesting position that will provide flexible scheduling and reasonable call expectations in a rural environment. This is a true rural general surgery practice managing wide range of general surgery conditions including endoscopy. The ideal candidate will work as a full time surgeon though part time position will be considered for the right candidate.
This Position Offers- Team-based care model with collaborative approach to care.
