Surgeon - Burn examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats patients with burns from heat, cold, chemical, or electrical incidents. Performs escharectomy, skin grafting, and secondary burn surgery. Being a Surgeon - Burn reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Burn may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. VCA Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists is looking for a board-certified or residency trained Surgeon to join our growing 24-hour specialty and emergency practice in Cleveland.
Come join us as we provide high quality medical care in our 15,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility. The building has 11 exam rooms, 3 surgical suites, an 8 slice CT, MRI next door, multiple O2 cages, incubators & ultrasounds, an endoscopy tower, and dedicated rooms for both chemotherapy and I-131 treatments. A beautiful building with excellent equipment means nothing without the accompanying staff. The hospital has an experienced team of technicians and assistants, and a very collegial atmosphere.
