Surgeon - Neurology examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats disorders of the brain, spine, spinal cord, and nerves. Operates on the brain in order to relieve pressure in an intracranial hemorrhage, remove a foreign body such as a tumor, treat a wound, or relieve pain. Being a Surgeon - Neurology operates on the spine in order to free entrapped nerves, correct deformity, or restore spinal stability. Reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Additionally, Surgeon - Neurology determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. May provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Portland Chiropractic Neurology is an established and busy specialty health practice. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a multi-faceted role as a full-time Chiropractic Neurology Assistant. This position includes Front desk scheduling/insurance work, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy technician, and Chiropractic Assisting (e-stim, traction, percussor therapy, stretching, exercise rehab, VNG and CAPS testing). We will provide training to the right candidate in our techniques, methods, modalities and diagnostic equipment.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in working with patients suffering from a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions as well as a desire to learn. This position has a focus on patient care, scheduling appointments, administrative support, and hands on patient work.
Since you will have direct contact with our patients you must be personable, professional and genuinely interested in providing outstanding patient care.
