Surgeon - Trauma jobs in Washington

Surgeon - Trauma examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats critically injured patients. Performs emergency procedures including endotracheal tube intubation, tube thoracostomy, pericardiocentesis, ultrosonographic evaluation, and peritoneal lavage. Being a Surgeon - Trauma reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Trauma may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice.     • Flexible shift-based schedule of 12hr shifts covering days and nights as either trauma acute care surgeon or trauma intensivist in a dedicated SICU
    • No Call
    • Annual CME allowance of $3500.
    • Competitive benefit package
    • 5 to 10 years of surgical experience preferred, but new fellows are welcome to apply
    • Compensation is between $214,257 and $302,652 per year
    • The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.
