We are seeking a Sustainability and Resiliency Specialist to lead, scope and coordinate sustainability and resiliency project opportunities across Gresham Smith’s client portfolio.
This role is a key element of Gresham Smith’s growth strategy to expand our sustainability, resiliency, and climate change consultancy services to our clients.
Each year, Gresham Smith project team members impact millions of square feet of buildings, hundreds of miles of roadways, millions of gallons of water, and specification of countless materials.
Our teams build and shape communities. As a Sustainability and Resiliency Specialist you will guide project teams to account for future conditions while supporting the local community and using fewer natural resources.
Responsibilities :
Facilitate Project Integration : Collaborate with project teams across the firm to integrate sustainability and resiliency solutions in line with stated goals.
Facilitate technical discipline-specific discussions and conduct research to support the team regarding emerging technical solutions and approaches.
Communicate next steps and report on project decisions, as requested by the project team.
Technical Expertise : Be willing to develop expertise in two or more areas including but not limited to carbon, energy, water, climate risk, circular economy, organizational ESG reporting and / or social value.
Take the lead in executing project specific requests, as needed. Promote awareness of emerging technical trends with others in the Sustainability and Resiliency Center as well as across the firm.
Manage your assigned tasks to meet scope, schedule and budget. Participate in championing sustainability and resiliency initiatives to drive progress and positive change.
Minimum Qualifications :
social science, geography, public policy, political science, resource management, anthropology or a similar discipline.
