    About This Role:

    The Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist partners with operational leadership to strategically identify, attract, and retain top-tier talent within their location that aligns with the company's purpose, vision, and values. This role will also be able to conduct and streamline orientations to new associates. A successful candidate in this role will have a heart for people and understand the importance of collaboration. This role will make a measurable and memorable difference in attracting and onboarding top talent while ensuring a positive candidate experience that fosters employee engagement and retention within the organization.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • High volume recruitment. Sources skilled warehouse personnel within tight time constraints.
    • Maintain strategic partnerships with local organizations, actively recruit volunteers and partners, and foster community engagement initiatives to support FHI’s mission.
    • Responds to inquiries from candidates and leaders throughout the day while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
    • Serves as a point of contact for candidates, addressing their questions and concerns throughout their candidate experience.
    • Maintains accurate and up-to-date candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
    • Initiates routine tasks required to administer and execute Talent Acquisition processes, including but not limited to submitting offer letters and pre-employment background & drug test packages.
    • Conducts comprehensive orientation sessions for new hires, providing them with essential information about company policies, procedures, and culture.
    • Accompanied new hires on a site walk-through, familiarizing them with key areas such as bathrooms, exits, and relevant departments, ensuring they are well-oriented to their surroundings.
    • Before their start date, introduce new hires to their assigned mentor, facilitating a smooth transition and fostering a supportive learning environment from day one.
    • Assigns Training Packet (current training program) and completes training packet.
    • Ensures that new hires are equipped with all the tools and resources required to start their first day of work effectively, facilitating a seamless onboarding experience.
    • Communicate with candidates, providing clear instructions and guidance on the new hire paperwork they must complete.
    • Works with candidates to ensure they are well-prepared for their orientation session. Provides candidates with information about the agenda, schedule, location, dress code, and any materials they must bring.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Proven experience in talent acquisition, recruitment coordination, or a similar role of at least one year.
    • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.

    Education:

    We believe that skills and experience are what truly matter. While education can be a valuable asset, it is not required to succeed in this role.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
    • Working knowledge of the Workday platform is preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
    • Bilingual a plus

    Work Environment:

    This position will primarily be an in-office role and setting, with the occasional remote opportunity, and will require travel to different warehouse facilities as needed.

    The position will travel to distribution centers, which may not be climate-controlled, including loud noises, areas below 32 degrees, and require extended walking/movement in small areas amidst heavy machinery.

    Physical Demands:

    • Office and warehouse environment.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to work in the office and warehouse environment most days of the week; this is not a remote position but may have some remote flexibility.
    • Some out-of-state travel may be required.
