Tax Accountant jobs in South Carolina

We are looking for a Tax Accountant to prepare tax returns for our clients. To succeed in this role, you should show interest in following changes to tax regulations and laws. Excellent time management skills are essential, as you’ll have to ensure our company meets tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and track tax returns for clients
• Complete quarterly and annual business tax reports
• Organize and update the company’s tax database
• Recommend tax strategies for clients
• Prepare necessary paperwork for income tax payments and returns
• Identify tax savings and suggest ways to decrease tax liabilities
• Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes
• Forecast tax predictions
• Assist the Staff Accountant with completion of Financial Statements

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst, or Tax Preparer
• Knowledge of accounting and payroll procedures
• Familiarity with accounting software packages
• Computer literacy (MS Excel in particular)
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• Strong numerical skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant subject or equivalent work experience is required
• Industry certification (e.g. EA or CPA) is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
