Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and dynamic individual to fill the combined role of an Account Manager and IT Systems Specialist. This position requires a unique blend of tax and bookkeeping expertise, technical proficiency, and strong problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our company's software systems, providing technical support to employees, and offering assistance with tax preparation and support tasks. Key Responsibilities:
IT Systems Specialist Duties:
- Perform or assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications for employees, providing login information and training sessions as needed.
- Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to software glitches, hardware malfunctions, and network connectivity.
- Install, move, and diagnose hardware components, such as computers, printers, and networking equipment, as required.
- Set up and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and access control systems, to ensure the safety and security of company assets.
- Assist the Chief Operating Officer with developing and publishing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guidelines for software usage and IT procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
Account Manager Duties:
- Utilize tax expertise to ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
- Research and understand the software needs of the company, particularly in relation to tax preparation, bookkeeping and compliance.
- Assist in tax preparation tasks, including organizing tax documents, inputting data, and preparing tax returns for clients.
- Provide tax support to clients and employees, offering guidance on tax-related inquiries and addressing basic rejections or errors in e-filed tax returns.
- Stay updated on tax regulations and changes to tax software to ensure accurate and efficient tax preparation processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in tax preparation, tax compliance, IT support, or systems administration roles.
- Proficiency in tax software, databases, scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL), and data analytics tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot tax technology issues effectively.
- Experience with project management and or-ganizational skills to manage technology projects.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with tax professionals, IT teams, and stakeholders effectively.
- Certification(s) in relevant technologies is a plus.

- Flexibility to address IT emergencies and tax-related tasks outside of regular business hours.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology and tax regulations quickly.
- Patience and empathy when providing technical support and tax assistance to employees and clients.
