Teacher Kindergarten prepares lessons and instructs students in an assigned elementary school's kindergarten. Develops and implements activities to meet the academic, developmental, and social needs of children in kindergarten classroom setting. Being a Teacher Kindergarten monitors and guides classroom behavior. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Additionally, Teacher Kindergarten assesses and documents students' progress. Participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Kindergarten occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. We have a part time aide position open in our aftercare program working with preschool and kindergarten students. A minimum of 6 completed child units in child development classes is required, but 12 units are preferred. An exceptional candidate without units may apply if willing to concurrently enroll in classes.
We're looking for a dedicated professional who loves Jesus and loves children to join our team! Hours: 12-5:00 pm daily. A full time position, if desired may be possible by adding hours a few mornings a week.
