Pinecrest Cadence is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of High School Teaching Assistant. We are looking for someone experienced in working with high school students and comfortable tutoring high school math and English.
Job Description:
Candidates will be supporting students with their academics, organization, and motivation. Candidates also need to be willing to support and collaborate with teachers on how best to assist in the classroom. Candidates need to be able to use discretion and handle confidential situations in accordance with FERPA guidelines.
Our Teaching Assistants also help with many of the day-to-day operational aspects of running the school such as working car loop, lunches, and hall duty. Teaching Assistants should be flexible as the job descriptions can be ever-changing to fit the needs of the school.
Qualifications
All Teaching Assistants must pass a background check including fingerprinting requirements. A food handler's card and/or CPR certification are preferred, but not required. We prefer a candidate who is comfortable tutoring high school math and English and has some experience working with high school students.
Schedule
This is a 9 month, hourly position, the rate is $20/hr and is eligible for benefits (the cost varies on the option that you choose). You are also given PTO days. You are not paid for school breaks, ie; spring break, Thanksgiving break or Christmas break.
