JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Special School District (SSD) educational interpreter and visual communication specialist, you will support students with deafness or hearing loss by interpreting and transliterating their educational and social experiences while they are at school. Your skills and expertise as a certified interpreter will ensure barriers to accessibility are removed or managed and regularly collaborate with their teachers, staff, and students to facilitate communication. Your expertise, regular assessment, and proven strategies will be relied upon as you champion inclusivity and accessibility for the students you serve.
