Technical Recruiter jobs in New York
Technical Recruiter attracts, evaluates, and refers candidates for technical positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting, search firms and other sourcing methods. Understands requirements for technical positions, develops job advertisements and screens resumes/applications. Being a Technical Recruiter contacts candidates to ascertain fit, and schedules interviews. Extends offers and negotiates compensation. Additionally, Technical Recruiter initiates onboarding plan for new hires. Ensures assigned positions are filled efficiently and effectively. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Technical Recruiter occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. A Midtown-based fintech firm is seeking a Technical Recruiter for a three-month contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years of technical recruiting experience. The contract has the potential to be extended.
Pay: $40-45/hr
Schedule: Monday - Thursday onsite, Friday remote.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior technology recruiter to recruit full cycle across technology and product departments
- Source resumes, screen candidates, and recommend them to hiring managers
- Track candidates through various stages in the ATS, ensuring accurate data
- Contribute to a strong candidate pipeline with job postings and sourcing strategies
- Assist with ongoing projects that support the overall mission of the HR team
- Stay current and informed on industry technical recruiting trends
- Provide a white-glove customer service experience to prospective hires
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-5 years of in-house or agency recruitment experience with a minimum of 1 year of technology recruiting
- Experience out of financial services and/or fintech industry is a plus but not required
- Experience recruiting across various tech roles including full-stack, frontend and backend engineers, corporate technology and product backgrounds, data science and quant experience a plus
- Self-starter with drive comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Greenhouse a plus
