JOB DESCRIPTION
DEPARTMENT: Court Administrator's Office (311)
CLASS TITLE: Technical Support Analyst
SALARY RANGE: $59,956 – $93,712
REPORTS TO: Information Systems Manager
CLASS DEFINITION: Under the direction of the Information Systems Manager, this person
performs work of a highly technical nature involving information technology services and
systems.
JOB DUTIES:
Tracks, responds, and resolves end-user technical trouble reports and service requests.
Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots computer hardware, software,
peripherals and network hardware.
Troubleshoots issues, identifies ongoing, recurring problems, and recommends technical
solutions.
Fixes software and hardware issues.
Provides end user support that may include minor technical training.
Performs daily and weekly backups, as well as restores user or application data, as
needed.
Analyzes existing systems and recommends improvements.
May administer network hardware, servers, applications, email, and/or website.
Conducts business analysis and gathers requirements for new IT services.
Implements new IT services, and participates in all aspects of technical project
implementations.
Provides frontline support of all IT services for the 22nd Circuit Court.
Maintains inventory of technology assets, including complete and accurate records.
Develops, updates, and maintains manuals and technical documentation.
Performs other related duties as requested.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Extensive knowledge of Information Technology service support.
Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals in a Windows
environment.
Considerable knowledge of the hardware troubleshooting techniques and problem-
solving.
Knowledge of Windows Client and Server OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office
applications.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with Court personnel.
Experience with reporting tools or basic programming desirable.
Knowledge of justice systems desirable.
Ability to lift and maneuver 25 pounds.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s Degree from
a nationally accredited college in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or
related discipline and at least one-year full-time paid experience in an IT position (OR) An
Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related
discipline and at least three (3) years full-time paid experience in an IT position. Must be at
