    Reports to : Consumer Lending Title Officer

    Functions Supervised : None

    Primary Functions : Process titles, UCC filing and other security instruments to perfect the credit union's lien.

    Duties and Responsibilities :

    • Receive, review, collect, monitor, and process all documentation necessary to perfect the Credit Union's security interest (lien) on the title, UCC or other security instrument, in at least one state.
    • Perform consistent follow up on accounts pending title. Ensure the credit union's lien is recorded in a timely manner and in accordance with federal and state laws and on the correct security instrument.
    • Utilize title management system reports to facilitate follow up, including but not limited to working the accounts pending report daily.
    • Thoroughly and accurately document all activity in the title management system.
    • Inform management of any problematic aged accounts pending title or unusual activity.
    • Perform maintenance functions, including but not limited to, obtaining loan payoff information and preparing stop payments in a timely manner, as necessary.
    • Act as a liaison and work collaboratively with other departments.
    • Provide prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous member service.
    • As assigned, perform title follow-up on indirect (dealer) loans pending title.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education : High school graduate or equivalent.

    Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education : Not Applicable

    Experience / Skills : Six months general office experience which includes direct customer contact. Must be self-motivated, resourceful, and possess excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

    Proficiency at typing, at least 45 wpm, and a knowledge of personal computers required.

    Tenure : Consumer Lending Title Specialist II or III, Category 13 or 12, requires meeting proven acceptable performance standards as established by management.

    Directly related work experience and / or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.

    Compensation

    Salary Pay Range :

    • Consumer Lending Title Specialist I (Category 14) : $41,484 - $60,567 annually
    • Consumer Lending Title Specialist II (Category 13) : $44,803 - $66,309 annually
    • Consumer Lending Title Specialist III (Category 12) : $48,387 - $73,549 annually
    • Senior Consumer Lending Title Specialist (Category 11) : $52,258 - $81,523 annually

    Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

    In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
