Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor oversees skilled workers responsible for constructing, maintaining, modifying, and calibrating machine shop tools, dies, prototypes, jigs, fixtures and molds. Supervises the set up and operation of various lathes, grinders, milling, and boring machines used to produce tools. Being a Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor completes high level tool development work. Ensures jobs are completed correctly and on time. Additionally, Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Job Summary:
We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual willing to work in a fast-paced working environment. This individual will also need a high level of awareness of Safety, along with attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain good daily attendance (M-TH) 10hr shifts
- Learn the process involved in the disassembly of Hydraulic pumps
- Learn quality standards needed to produce good products for customer
- Work to meet daily production targets in a 90day period
- Willingness to learn multiple operations
Experience:
- Working in a high-paced work environment
- Basic hand tools ( Impact guns, pliers, pry bars, industrial washers)
- Heightened awareness of Safety
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Experience with mid size overhead cranes
