Top Budgeting Executive oversees all aspects of an organization's budgeting and financial forecasting function. Directs the development and evaluation of policies and processes that will support the short and long-term financial objectives of the organization. Being a Top Budgeting Executive implements operational processes for the annual budget and capital planning. Establishes performance indicators used to evaluate and analyze actual performance against budgets. Additionally, Top Budgeting Executive leads the development of budget planning and forecasting tools to support management decisions. Presents budget data to senior management and/or board. Typically requires a MBA or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Top Budgeting Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.   • This job developments and coordinates all financial application initiatives to provide accurate and timely financial and patient information consistent with the management issues under consideration. Responsible for the implementation of the company's Financial Analytic strategy as it pertains to financial, service line and labor initiatives; extensive reporting, budgeting  and user education/training with financial systems will be an important requirement of this position, i.e. Allscripts EPSi, , Tableau, EPIC, Lawson general ledger, materials management and payroll.

    Education:
    • Required - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
    • Preferred - MS or MBA

    Work Experience:
    • Required - 10 years related experience
    • Preferred - Well rounded background in both healthcare financial operations and technical problem solving skills.  Knowledge of EPSi, Tableau, EPIC, Oracle

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities: (KSAs)
    • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
    • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Effective Finance decision making skills and the ability to balance practical and technical needs.
    • Self-directed with strong analytical and operational problem solving skills. 
    • Good time management skills including the ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate multiple work assignments to achieve deadlines.

    Job Duties:
    • Oversees and coordinates the company's overall Operating Budget.  
    • Implement the company's Analytic strategy as it relates to financial, service line and labor reporting
    • Oversees and coordinates the distribution of the monthly financial reporting packages for the organization.
    • Develops & oversees the Cost Accounting functions within EPSI of all organizational entities.
    • Provides and/or request assistance to/from finance team members when peak needs or vacancies occur.
    • Proactively alerts management to operational issues as it related to financial performance.
    • Demonstrates compliance with departmental, hospital, and federal/state regulatory  policies and procedures.
    • Other related duties as required.
