JOB DESCRIPTION:

As security you will be expected to do the following things to ensure the safety and security of campgrounds, including, but not limited to:

• Traversing of full property in rounds, and in random patterns, both on foot and on a golf cart
• Going into and out of buildings
• Reporting routine observations while on rounds in a log format
• Maintaining situational awareness of camp activities, rules, and regulations (knowing which staff are on duty)
• Communicating to staff on duty any issues with campers or staff breaking rules (outside of bunk past curfew), including using radio equipment contact leadership staff on duty, completing accident/incident reports
• Maintaining professionalism at all times including appearance, behavior, and communications.
• Remaining alert at all times.

SKILLS:

- Relevant training in security procedure

- Strong conflict management skills to effectively handle challenging situations

-Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods

Qualifications:

- Refer to link below for minimum state requirements.

- Military and/or Law Enforcement experience preferred

- CPR and First Aid certification preferred

- Experience around the youth (coaching, teaching, etc.)
