Position Overview: The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the Chamber. This role involves working closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and the local business community to achieve the Chamber's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:
• Provide visionary leadership to the Chamber, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
• Manage day-to-day operations, including staff supervision and volunteer coordination.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the Chamber's mission.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
• Member Relations:
• Maintain strong relationships with current members and actively recruit new members.
• Address member inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
• Organize and oversee member events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
• Community Engagement:
• Act as the primary spokesperson for the Chamber, representing the organization at community events, meetings, and public forums.
• Build and maintain relationships with local government, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
• Advocate for business-friendly policies and initiatives at the local, state, and federal levels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within a nonprofit or business association.
• Strong understanding of the local business environment and economic development issues.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in financial management, including budgeting and fundraising.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Executive Director or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with Chamber of Commerce operations.
• Strong network within the local business community.

Pay: $24,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
