We are looking for a strong candidate who can maintain Helpdesk and Network support for a complex virtualized system in a DoD training platform. This in-office position allows for remote work when needed. This position also does require some travel.

Candidate MUST have an ACTIVE Security Clearance, SECRET or higher.

Essential Functions:

• Configure Cisco Firewalls, Routers, and switches in a virtualized environment.
• Demonstrate IP Address subnetting skills.
• Ensure network interoperability, including hardware and software.
• Plan, test, and implement new network security technologies.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for system failures.
• Coordinate with vendors, team members, and contractors.
• Create and update network documentation and diagrams.
• Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Travel to support remote sites.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Layer 3 routers and ASA's (Firewalls)
• Extensive Knowledge of Cisco switch configurations
• Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI)
• Cybersecurity policies and STIGs
• Network diagrams and configuration documentation
• IP Address Management (IPAM) systems (e.g., SolarWinds)
• Network bandwidth testers and protocol analyzers/sniffers
• VMWare vCenter & vSphere knowledge
• Windows 2019 Active Directory user management
• Independent on-site work
• Equipment lifting and moving

Required Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or related field (6 years of experience can substitute)
• IAT Level II or higher (Security , CISSP, etc.) within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of US military modeling and simulations systems
