POSITION SUMMARY
This role is part of a collaborative team including Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, & Supply Chain, with the responsibility of managing the current product offering as well as developing New Products that harmonize with our brand and expand our offering. This person will be responsible for creating in-house designs as well as collaborating with others on design projects. He/She will be responsible for the product development schedule of activities as well as further development of our 24-month rolling development calendar.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· In-house product design
· Collaborative design for projects
· Seek out appropriate design professionals and manage work with them when appropriate.
· Management and continuous improvement of the 24-month rolling product development process.
· Clear communication of product development-related activities, including but not limited to design briefs, critiques, selection, timeline, education, etc.
· 3D CAD modeling, drawings for manufacture, digital rendering, and technical documents.
· Market research on how our current offering relates to trends, opportunities, and risks.
· Specification and supply chain support on new product components.
· Manage product cost and price points through the development process.
REQUIREMENTS
· A degree in furniture design, industrial design, or related field.
· 3D CAD software, Solid Edge preferred.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Familiarity with ERP & CRM software, Epicor & HubSpot preferred.
· Strong teamwork ethic.
· Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities.
