Top Quality Management Executive - Healthcare oversees all aspects of the quality management function for a hospital or other healthcare facility. Develops plans designed to improve the overall quality of the organization's facilities and patient care services. Being a Top Quality Management Executive - Healthcare oversees the implementation of quality improvement efforts designed to improve clinical performance and maintain compliance with the Joint Commission, HIPAA, and other accreditation standards. Responsible for planning and directing quality policies, programs, and initiatives. Additionally, Top Quality Management Executive - Healthcare requires a MD. Requires State License to Practice Medicine. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Top Quality Management Executive - Healthcare manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.     Position Summary:

    The Director, Portfolio Management within the PMO is responsible for managing strategic project portfolios, leading high visibility, enterprise-wide strategic projects, and teams to deliver on key strategic initiatives. This role involves ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects, and portfolio management of enterprise-wide projects aligning with the company's business objectives. In addition, this role will plan, budget, monitor, schedule and lead strategic projects leveraging project management tools to manage and drive successful completion. 

    The Director, Portfolio Management is a full-time, exempt and remote position and reports to the Sr. Director, Business PMO.

     

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Planning and Project Implementation: 
      • Plan, organize and implement projects by defining scope, tasks, required resources, facilitate, and manage project team, development and maintain project artifacts and communicate project status to leadership.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration:  
      • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and expectations.  
    • Communication: 
      • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.  
      • Provide regular project updates, status reports, and risk assessments to relevant stakeholders.
    • Risk Management:  
      • Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with projects.  
      • Implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
    • Resource Management:  
      • Track status of project/initiative portfolio of strategic initiatives.  Partner with key resources across the organization.  
      • Identify resource constraints that lead to project risk.
    • Governance and Standards: 
      • Leverage and optimize project management methodologies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
    • Performance Metrics: 
      • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success. 
      • Report on project status, risks, and issues to senior leadership as required.
    • Problem solving:  
      • Ability to identify, summarize and address risks associated with projects.
    • Conflict resolution:  
      • Ability to address conflict resolution or address risks associated with strategic initiatives.

    Skills:

    • Strong organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Thorough understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
    • Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.


    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • The Director, Portfolio Management will have 1-3 direct reports (Project Managers).

    Experience:

    • 10 years of proven experience in project management leadership roles.
    • Previous experience managing a PMO or leading project teams at a strategic level.  
    • Experience running both business and technically heavy projects large scale, enterprise-wide initiatives.
    • Leadership experience of project managers.
    • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management.    
    • Ability to lead complex programs and technical deployments.

     

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field required.  
    • PMP or equivalent certification required. 
    • Master’s degree preferred.
