Professional Development Instructors

Part-Time

The Institute for Labor Studies and Research, Cranston, RI, is seeking experienced Instructors to provide professional development training to RI employees. These individuals will deliver classroom instruction empowering participants to learn skills they can transfer to their professional settings.

Instructors are needed for the below courses:

• Organization Psychology 101
• Organization Psychology 201
• Cultural Psychology
• Ethics

Responsibilities:

• Create curriculum syllabus (unless otherwise provided by ILSR), class material and content focused assessments
• Provide effective lessons – most importantly encouraging student engagement and participation, empowering adult students to integrate learnings immediately to the workplace
• Prepare and manage classroom materials (PowerPoint presentations, handouts, surveys, exams, etc.)
• Experience with in-person instruction or via video conferencing (ZOOM)
• Take attendance each class
• Courses are offered during the day

Experience:

• 5-years teaching with adult students
• Prior online teaching preferred

Education:

• Masters Preferred

Work Location:

• Cranston, RI

Hours per week:

• Less than 10

Hourly wage:

• $60 per hour
