We are looking for a Fund Controller to work in an ambitious and growing environment. In this role, you will be assisting the Senior Controller in coordinating the (fund) reporting by keeping track of deadlines and deliverables, communicating with different internal and external stakeholders, and preparing and reviewing fund reporting .Real Estate Fund Accounting
-5 yrs experience in fund level accounting (open ended funds preferred, RE funds required).
-Must be very strong with financial statement preparation & review.
-Should know: capital calls, distributions, management fees.
-Big 4 experience preferred, CPA (in progress OK)

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Produces fund financial statements and other required financial information including but not limited to investor funded and unfunded commitments, asset accrual methodology, and output. Provides qualitative analysis and comments. Maintains shareholder registries. Prepares periodic financial statements and assists with audit and tax preparation and audit review. Performs budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities. Assist in designing and preparing client presentations relating to the fund. Completes in an accurate and timely manner.
Monitors Financial Performance:
Monitors, compiles, and analyze financial data. Performs detailed review of monthly property level reports and may provide a forward-looking view to senior team members. Assists with reviewing periodic P&L calculations at the fund and investor levels
Job requirements
· Bachelor/Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field equivalent
· Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
· Prior experience in fund level accounting preferred with real estate accounting or fund accounting software systems
· Requires intermediate knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations including intermediate knowledge of financial terms and principles to include accounting methods (cash, accrual, and full GAAP). Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts intermediate financial analysis.
· Solid technical financial skills and knowledge of GAAP, FASB, REIS, IFRS, and in-region/in-country standards where applicable
