Role Overview The Director of Finance is a strategic leader, tasked with guiding Top Echelon Software through its next phase of growth and financial excellence. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role requires a dynamic blend of financial acumen, strategic vision, and leadership prowess. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping financial strategy, enhancing operational efficiencies, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Specific responsibilities include: Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and board of directors, providing actionable financial insights that drive the company's success. Maintain all financial records, cash management, and insurance coverages. Prepare all financial statements, management reports, and board materials ensuring accuracy and completeness. Manage annual financial audits and coordinate with external auditors. Develop and manage the annual budget, monitor budget variances, provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements, and maintain up-to-date financial forecasts. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, as well as all regulatory and lending requirements. Supervise HR operations, assisting in the oversight of benefits administration and compliance, ensuring our employees receive top-notch support and benefits. Collaborate on strategic initiatives, including evaluation of acquisitions and partnerships. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Five or more years of experience in a financial leadership role. Exceptional leadership qualities, with experience supervising HR operations and a commitment to developing a supportive and professional work environment. Strong background in generally accepted accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with multi-state regulatory and tax issues. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Proven track record in a SaaS or tech environment. Experience in the recruiting or HR industry is a plus. Experience with business combinations and private equity ownership models. Knowledge of Quickbooks Online. MBA or CPA are highly preferred.
