Total Quality Manager manages the implementation, administration and measurement of total quality management programs, including Six Sigma initiatives. Leads teams to provide training, tools, and logistical assistance for quality initiatives. Being a Total Quality Manager oversees development of new testing tools, and measurement methods and systems to ensure products and services meet quality standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Total Quality Manager typically reports to a senior manager. The Total Quality Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Total Quality Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Title: Third Party Quality Inspector

    Department: Operations

    Reports to: Lead Inspector

    Summary

    Spontaneously enters in to work in different locations. The locations are typically a fast paced environment that requires impartial measurement and inspection of materials (supplied parts) for manufacturing. 

    Provides protection from defective materials to a manufacturer’s production processes. Assures that the Customer’s supplied materials is free from ‘suspect’ defect(s) or any other defect that is found during the inspection of supplied parts. Certifies that each suspect component is defect free and ready for assembly and use, as detailed in ‘Work Instructions’.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Reads, understands, acknowledges and performs documented ‘Work Instructions’.
    • Certifies incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting, labeling and quarantining rejected materials.
    • Certifies in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting, labeling and quarantining rejected material.
    • Certifies finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting, labeling and quarantining rejected materials.
    • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database when instructed by Lead Inspector.
    • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
    • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
    • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

    Skills and Specifications

    • Should be physically fit and have the ability to lift heavy materials.
    • Should have the ability to competently and effectively manage time and complete assigned work.
    • Should be a team player and have the ability to coordinate with fellow workers.
    • Should be compliant with all safety regulation and the ability to use warehouse machinery.

    Education and Qualifications

    • High school degree, GED certification or an equivalent qualification from a certified college.

    Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to repeatedly lift 30 lbs.
    • Must be able to stand for four or more hours at a time.
    • Must be able to bend, reach, and manipulate bulky objects.
